Dear colleagues and friends of Gulf Coast,
Our annual prize deadlines in poetry, fiction, and nonfiction are less than two weeks away, and we need more entries!
Mark Doty will judge in poetry, Thisbe Nissen in fiction, and Eula Biss in nonfiction. Winners in each category will receive $1,000 plus publication, and we'll give $250 to one honorable mention in each category, too. All entries are considered for publication (and we almost always publish a finalist or two in each genre).
So please tell your students and peers to submit! The online entry fee is only $23 (which gets each entrant a one-year subsc-ription), and they can enter by credit card, online, in less than five minutes (we've timed it.) We also accept postal submissions.
The website is www.gulfcoastmag.org/contests. The deadline is March 1. And the odds are very good. So spread the word!
