Welcome to another new Madison poetry series. Crosshatxh Poetry Series curated by former MFA poet Laurel Bastian (who will be the Institute's Halls Emerging Artist Fellow for the upcoming 2010-11 academic year) hits the ground running on August 27, when, at 7:30 pm Laurel welcomes Dasha Kelly (pictured), Jesse Lee Kercheval, Timothy Kloss, and Emily Dickinson.
I will repeat my warning to Jesse Lee here, as it s applicable to all attendees: If a carriage stops to pick Emily up and she offers you a lift, do not, I repeat, do not get in.
Otherwise sounds like an exciting evening.
The reading will be held at Project Lodge, 817 E. Johnson St, Madison. $3 donation at the door.
