A great day as the new academic year gets underway. Today we had orientation for the new Institute fellows and incoming fiction MFAs followed by brats, ice cream and sailboat watching on the Terrace. Here's to 2010-11 at UW-Madison.
And to start us off, good news from two members of our ever-growing community of writers.
BRI CAVALLARO's poem "Other Fields" is in the current edition of Washington Square Journal. Bri is one of our current MFA poets.
And AMANDA REA, our former Institute fiction fellow, will have an essay, A Dead Man in Nashville, in the 2011 Pushcart Prizes anthology.
Congratulations to both of them. And any other Pushcart Prize people out there? Write and tell me the details!
