ADAM HASLETT is the author of a collection of short stories, You are Not a Stranger Here (a finalist for the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize) and a novel, Union Atlantic. His book have been translated into eighteen languages, and he has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation, and the Fine Arts Work Center. He has been a visiting professor at the Iowa Writers' Workshop and at Columbia University.
