Congratulations to former Institute fiction fellow DANIELLE EVANS on her nomination for the tenth annual Hurston/Wright Legacy Award in fiction, which "honors exemplary works of literature before the national community of Black writers." Danielle was nominated, of course, for her story collection Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self. The award shown here, which is presented to the winner along with a cash gift, depicts the Egyptian god of writing.
