MFA alum and HEAF Nate Brown recently
had the pleasure of organizing a trip to China on behalf of the International
Writing Program (IWP) at the University of Iowa, and former UW Djerassi
Playwriting Fellow Dan O'Brien came along for the ride.
He states, “Essentially, the Life of Discovery exchange program between the IWP and the China Writers' Association is intended to put working artists directly in touch with one another for the purposes of creative and cultural exchange. It was an incredible ten days in which our delegation of writers had intense and productive interactions with some incredible Chinese authors. The authors we met in China will be traveling to the U.S. in late October for the second half of the program”
